Who we are: Timothy (favourite word: commutativity), Alexandra (favourite word: petrichor), Felix (favourite word: grace) and Freya (favourite word: jeepers!)
Where we’re going: Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC), a small K-12 international school in the south of Kathmandu, Nepal.
Schools like KISC are a vital part of keeping families on the mission field, by providing missionary kids with a safe place to be educated, socialise with peers, and access mental health support. This frees up missionary parents to be able to wholeheartedly pursue the callings that God has given them.
What we’re doing: Tim will be teaching Mathematics and Computer Science in the high school, as well as heading up those two faculties. Alex will be working as School Psychologist, and heading up the Safeguarding (Child Protection) team. Felix and Freya will be learning and building friendships in the primary school.
Why: Because we’re stepping out in obedience to God’s call. We believe that KISC is where He wants our family, therefore, KISC is where we’re going. God has gone before us in so many ways, big and small. Our unique traits, strengths, interests, challenges, life experiences and professional experiences are all part of God’s plan for this next chapter of our family’s story, as all four of us co-work with Him in our new community. But we’re very aware that it will not always be easy. Which segues us nicely to our last question…
